Through a barrage of destructive comments, Scottie Pippen has made his dissatisfaction with Michael Jordan clear. The former Chicago Bulls duo had an unquestionable rapport on the court, but this hasn’t translated into an off-court bond. On the contrary, Pippen has gone on to say that they aren’t friends, and only had an amicable equation on the court. Via his new memoir ‘Unguarded’, the 56-year-old has hit back at Jordan and his attitude towards their franchise.

The Last Dance documentary created large scale controversies. With many people believing that MJ decided to place himself above the team, all hell broke loose. In his book, Pippen, who was disappointed after watching the show, called his former teammate selfish and self-glorifying. In a series of interviews after, the 7-time All-star has termed himself to be as good as Jordan, and claimed that ‘His Airness’ has ruined basketball. But now, he has denied that any of his comments were out of hatred.

Yet, for whatever reason, the pair don’t see eye-to-eye. Although Jordan has chosen not to offer his thoughts yet, Pippen has said numerous things. After his ‘ruined basketball’ comments, he has also tracked back and taken back his harsh words.

If popular analyst Charles Barkley is to be believed, he says that Pippen has written so much against Jordan only to sell books. On the other hand, the 6-time NBA winner dished out in a recent interview that he has no grudge against his legendary partner. “I’m not saying in any way that I have a grudge against Michael Jordan,” Pippen said on WGN News. “This book has nothing to change our relationship.” He admitted that if they ran into each other henceforth, he would continue to greet the 58-year-old in the same manner.
