The deadly duo of Kevin Durant and James Harden were recently broken up. However, long before this, KD’s separation from Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors made every possible headline. With other aspirations, Durant decided to call it quits after an outstanding stint with Steve Kerr and co. And Curry revealed an interesting chat he had with his former teammate, once he made an exit.

From 2015-18, the NBA was more or less a two-horse race. While several other franchises threatened, the Warriors and Cavaliers ran riot for four years. Within this, the men in blue and yellow won 3 titles, with Curry and Durant at the helm. Although the 8-time All-Star’s biggest asset is his shooting, he also had some devastating stars playing alongside him. Thus, KD’s exit in 2019 came as a shock to the entire franchise.

Following the possibility of some ego clashes and minor arguments, it was the end of the road for the 12-time All-Star at a franchise that he loved with all his heart. Before his ouster, however, the ace forward reportedly texted Steph, informing him that he was leaving. It was truly the end of an era.
