The Golden State Warriors have a testing challenge at their hands in the absence of their leader Stephen Curry. Despite the presence of stars like Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and Draymond Green, among others, many experts believe that the Warriors are in for a tough time. Amid the chaos for the Dubs, NBA Insider Kendrick Perkins has suggested that Steph Curry could be plagued by a huge career threat despite his return to the Warriors squad after recovering.

Stephen Curry injured his left shoulder late in the third quarter during the December 15 game against the Indiana Pacers. The Warriors superstar has been diagnosed with a subluxation in his left shoulder. He is likely to be sidelined for around a month. The Warriors find themselves in a tough spot after losing Curry. They have been heavily dependent on the four-time NBA champ’s shooting skills for over a decade.

Kendrick Perkins made a bold claim while talking about the Golden State Warriors. He claimed to have the same amount of hope about the Warriors winning the championship as he had about having breakfast with former POTUS Barack Obama. Moreover, Perkins reckoned that the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies appeared to be better teams than Golden State in the Western Conference this season.

Additionally, Perkins stated that he had no trust in the defensive abilities and bench strength of the Dubs. He pointed out that Moses Moody was underperforming and Warriors coach Steve Kerr did not trust Jonathan Kuminga’s basketball IQ. The former Celtics center also stressed the absence of James Wiseman from the Golden State bench.

Perkins seemed to have lost hope on the prospect of the Warriors winning the championship this season. However, the Warriors did well to win against the Toronto Raptors by 126-110 recently without their leader. It would be interesting for the fans to see if Stephen Curry and co. can prove Kendrick Perkins wrong.
