The Atlanta Hawks pulled off what many believed would be impossible. The suspension of Dejounte Murray left them under-manned going into a crucial Game 5 against the Boston Celtics. Facing one of the best teams in the NBA, fans didn’t have much hope. However, the Hawks flew, and oh in what glorious fashion. They beat the Celtics in their own backyard. A Trae Young dagger sent chills around the TD Garden and the city of Boston. Murray celebrated the dramatic win and also had a few things to say about his exclusion from the game.

The Hawks won 119-117 forcing a Game 6 at the State Farm Arena. Young exploded with 38 points to go along with 13 assists as he made sure the Hawks’ season wasn’t over just yet.

Murray might have woken up a few people as he screamed in joy watching the Hawks win. The emotions were raw as their postseason hope was still alive. The 26-year-old star was forced to miss the game due to a suspension. Murray was beyond excited as the series heads back to Atlanta. However, it wasn’t just about enjoying the win for him. Murray also had a few words for the NBA, claiming they created a false narrative.

“God is real. The devil is a lie. Tried to cheat, suspend me. We back to the A.” said Dejounte Murray in his wild reaction to his team’s playoff win. In the Instagram story, he also wrote, “BACK TO THE MF A!!!! God know Ima Great Person And Them Fake A** Narratives DONT Hold Weight!!!”

At the end of Game 4, the former San Antonio Spurs star had a run-in with the officials. In a clip that went viral, the Hawks guard made contact with the referee and even verbally abused the official, according to the NBA. Executive Vice President Joe Dumars announced the decision to suspend Murray a day before the Hawks’ crucial Game 5 battle against the Celtics. Murray has been one of the best players on the floor in the series, averaging 25.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

But to his glee, Murray will get a chance to fight beside his teammates once again and it will be a return in front of the home crowd. And it is all thanks to ‘Ice Trae‘.

Only 7 seconds remained and the Hawks had a two-point deficit to make up. There was no surprise, the ball was going into the hands of Young. He had missed his last few shots before the possession.
