A dramatic night ended with the Denver Nuggets emphatically beating the Los Angeles Lakers to take a 2-0 lead. It was far from a simple win at home. The Nuggets had to claw all through the night until the elite shot-making of Jamal Murray came to life. Two-time MVP Nikola Jokic had yet another one of his trademark triple-doubles in the Game 2 win. The Joker remained focused all night, playing 42 minutes in the contest. However, it seems Jokic made his statement much before the game.

As they say, the way you dress says a lot about you. In the case of the Serbian giant, he chose the most daunting look possible.

Jokic is characterized by his friendly and humorous demeanor. He is often smiling and playing around, just having a good time. But when it is time to compete, Jokic switches into an unmovable force no opposition wants to see. Generally, he would impose himself in the post, bullying the defenders. But tonight, The Joker meant business when he walked into the building.

The 28-year-old came dressed in a well-fitted grey suit. To top off his look was a black baker cap. His outfit was reminiscent of the ever-successful series, ‘Peaky Blinders’.

Whether it was handling business like Thomas Selby or being savage like his family, Jokic embodied their spirit. While the Denver Nuggets crew struggled to taint the Laker defense, The Joker kept them within catching distance. He orchestrated the offense and shouldered the load, scoring a team-high 23 points in the first three quarters.

His efforts to keep the Denver Nuggets alive would all pay dividends thanks to an explosion by Jamal Murray. The 26-year-old erupted in the fourth quarter for 23 points. It was one of his flawless displays of shot-making – an assassin with the basketball in his hand. Jokic didn’t have to score even once in the final twelve minutes. Instead, he engineered the plays and set screens to get Murray the open shots.

Their dynamic duo has now put the Nuggets just two games away from the franchise’s first-ever NBA finals. Finally healthy, Nikola Jokic and Murray are proving just why they are one of the most dangerous tandems in the NBA.
