When NBA superstar LeBron James and Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger started their supplements company, Ladder, many thought it was due to their athletic background. But it was actually their philanthropic intentions that got them together. In addition, Arnold revealed the reason he got so involved in the company was to ensure that LeBron James doesn’t get ‘busted’.
Schwarzenegger runs a program called Arnold’s All stars for underprivileged kids with academic and athletic training. And LeBron started attending the fundraisers for this organization. As a result, Arnold was impressed with his dedication.

When they started bonding, both of them understood their love for charity and the importance of it. LeBron was really into giving back to the community. And he has shown that over the years.
So the two stars got invested in the conversation about food supplements.
Schwarzenegger knew how important clean food supplements were for LeBron James
When the two started discussing, there was one thing that was clear. They had to come up with a clean and healthy supplement that was clean of any PEDs or illegal substances. And Arnold understood how important it was for LeBron to uphold his image as a professional athlete.
“Therefore, we wanted to make sure that he develops a food supplement line that is really exactly what it says on the label…So he[LeBron James] doesn’t get busted for something he didn’t know about,” The Terminator revealed in an interview.
“We are not the smartest guys in town when it comes to this kind of science. We know what we want, but the people that are really the experts, they put this formulas together, and so we worked with them very closely,” he added.
In fact, he closely followed the manufacturing procedure and directly communicated with experts. At the end of the day, the famous body-builder wanted to make sure that there is no false advertisement attached to the product.

Schwarzenegger is conscious of James’ image in the field of sports. Therefore, he didn’t want it to get tarnished by any kind of scandal, that many supplement brands often face.
