After a stellar run during the 2019-20 season for the Miami Heat, they were expecting something similar this time. However, that was far from the truth. In fact, freshly coming out of the NBA Finals, they became a team that was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs at the hands of the team that got the Larry O’Brien trophy, the Milwaukee Bucks.

This made things crystal clear. They needed to upgrade their roster in the upcoming offseason to ensure they reach the Finals, and not only that, but don’t come empty-handed either. Fortunately for all the Heat fans, that’s exactly what they have done. Here’s what their new lineup looks like.

  • Kyle Lowry

Lowry has been a target for Miami Heat for a while now, and it seems like they were destined to join forces. For a while now, Miami Heat was missing a true point guard from their lineup, until now. The 35-year-old is ideal for a team like the Heat. He can share the ball-handling and playmaking with Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler and will be another offensive superstar for other teams to worry about.

  • Markieff Morris

Morris did not have the best stint with the Lakers last season. He only averaged 6.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. However, he hasn’t had a stellar career so far, anyway. However, he can play a vital part coming off the bench for Miami Heat. His toughness on the court, along with his defense, can even land him a spot in the starters. Getting a veteran contributor like him is a good move on Heat’s part.

Outgoing players

  • Andre Iguodala

Iguodala always planned on finishing his career with the team that made it what it is today. He won three championships alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, and now that his retirement is getting closer, he wants to give it another shot. So, as soon as he hit the free agency market, a while later, he joined the Golden State Warriors.
