While many have taken shots at Jordan over the years, the adulation for him isn’t unwarranted. And now, we have another story from Scott Williams, of Jordan’s urge and competitive fire inspiring all comers. Scott, on the Legends Lounge podcast, detailed the story. Jordan, true to form, called anyone not willing to compete hard, to leave the gym. He said, “[Michael Jordan] addressed everybody that was there and said, if you’re not here to compete and compete hard, there’s the door, you can leave.”

Moreover, Scott further revealed how everyone was in shock. After Jordan’s speech in the locker room, he says, “Everyone looked at each other like, Is he serious? I mean, we’re not getting paid for this, are we? “ Holding command over the locker room, Scott’s story was yet another example of how Jordan was always hungry to win.

Detailing his argument, Scottie called Jordan a horrible player before his arrival, and a horrible teammate. While Jordan averaged 37.1 points the year before and was runner up for MVP, Pippen’s arguments had a different basis. Citing his playstyle and his shoot-happy mentality, Pippen criticized Jordan as a teammate.

“He was all one-on-one. He’s shooting bad shots… “, Scottie said. Doubling down, he even seemed to take credit for the team’s success, alluding to their success once he arrived and they “became a team. “
