Klay Thompson has undoubtedly been an integral part of the Golden State Warriors team for almost a decade. He, alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, won four NBA championships in the last eight years together. Thompson’s comeback after three years was a long-awaited one for fans. While he may not have returned all guns blazing, he was an important figure for the defending champions. His shooting is arguably priceless for the Dubs. Almost nobody in the NBA shoots like Thompson during those big moments, aside from his teammate Curry.
This has made him an iconic and legendary figure in the eyes of Warriors fans. But, he has admitted recently that he is still disappointed by the snub he got from the NBA 75 jury.

The NBA 75 jury listed the greatest 75 players ever to play the sport. Fans, at that time, were also befuddled by some selections made by the jury. The inclusions of Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis were the main points of contention and dominated the press cycle earlier this year.

But Klay’s snub too hurt fans. The player echoed this sentiment in a radio interview. He said, “I am at peace with it, to be honest. I let it drive me. Seriously, I let it drive me. Every day in the gym I was like, ‘You don’t think I’m good enough huh?'” Klay made it known that the snub motivates and drives him a lot.

These comments have come at a time when the Golden State Warriors have come under fire for its lax punishment against Draymond Green. Draymond Green allegedly struck Jordan Poole during a practice session on Wednesday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Both of them began by pushing and making crude remarks to one another. Green then punched the 23-year-old as a result.

The video of the altercation has since gotten leaked to the media. Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry were all present but did not intervene at the moment.

Klay has previously said that “shouting” by Green was a “by law ” in the team. Draymond had earlier praised Jordan Poole for his attitude on the court and added that it was on the player if he got fazed by the latter’s trash talk.
