For the second time in this series, James Harden went nuclear on the Boston Celtics. The tandem of Joel Embiid and the 2018 MVP put a stake through Boston to even the series at two games apiece. It was Deja vu from Game 1 as “The Beard” yet again hit the game-winning bucket against the Celtics. It was another miracle shot, another mark of excellence for Harden in his storied career. However, instead of giving praising him for his magnificent night, the NBA fans found a way to troll Harden.

Tonight’s matchup in Philadelphia did attract some celebrities to the building. Rapper Lil Baby and several NFL stars came to watch the theatrics. Somehow, one of them caused the downfall of Harden among the fans.

Down 1-2 in the series, the Sixers desperately needed to win a game at home. It wasn’t just about defending home court, but more importantly momentum for Game 5 in Boston. Trailing by two in regulation, the Philadelphia 76ers needed someone to be the closer and Harden took the responsibility. He crossed up Al Horford and glided to the rim. A stumbling Horford couldn’t catch up as the 10x All-Star got his trademark floater to fall and force OT.

Yet, that wasn’t the biggest shot of the night. In overtime, the Sixers trailed by 115-113 when 2023 MVP Joel Embiid tried to do some work in the post. He attracted a double team almost expectedly and passed it out to Harden in the corner. He was waiting for the moment like a lion ready to pounce.

Harden did no wrong with the wide-open look and hit the biggest three of the night to give the Sixers the lead. Dramatically enough, Marcus Smart managed to hit a shot at the end. Unfortunately for Boston, it came after the buzzer.

James Harden finished the game with 42 points, his second of the series. He also added eight rebounds, nine assists, and 4four steals. His accomplice Joel Embiid sank 34 points and 13 rebounds in the Game 4 win.

So just why did the fans troll Harden after such an exemplary night?

Coming off a masterclass, Harden might have expected the love and applause of the fans. Shockingly, the basketball realm trolled the Sixers guard instead but why? Because Lil Baby was in the house. NFL talents DeVonta Smith, and Micah Parsons also attended to watch the action.

Harden and the rapper is a famous duo off the court, mostly popular for partying together. Their friendship has grown immensely over the years with Lil Baby even gifting Harden piles of cash for his birthday. NBA Twitter did its work and felt it was only because of his friend that Harden showed out against Boston.

Parsons also caught some flak from the fans for enjoying his wings a little too much.
