Charles Barkley recently admitted that he hasn’t had milk in over four decades. And no, Chuck didn’t develop a lactose intolerances, he’s a huge fan of ice cream by his own admission. So why has he abandoned plain ol’ milk, his reason behind such a decision is in fact hilarious.
He has listed out several of his favorite food items in the past and has also admitted that he doesn’t buy into the new-age concepts regarding food items. However, it is interesting to know that the NBA veteran doesn’t consume milk because of something that happened over 40 years ago.

Charles Barkley unveils childhood story
Barkley is one of the most outspoken individuals on television. He calls it like he sees it and that has helped make him a fan favorite over the years. Although there have been some instances where Sir Charles has been absolutely outrageous with his take and has ended up in controversy, the larger picture still suggests that he is adored across the world. Recently, Barkley, who comes from a very humble background unveiled why he doesn’t consume milk and hasn’t had it in over four decades. The reason behind this dates back to his days when he was living with his brothers.

Barkley said that he was the last one to wake up in his family. While the house ran on his mother’s job, they could only manage Cheerios and that was the thing to go with milk in his household. As Sir Charles wasn’t an early riser, he would often get warm milk for him as his brothers left the milk out once they were done with their breakfast. Barkley said, “There’s nothing worse in the world than warm milk”. For this very reason, the Phoenix Suns legend developed a dislike toward milk and hasn’t looked back since.
While there is no place for milk in the Barkley household anymore, he did admit that he enjoys eating ice creams, which is essentially a byproduct of milk.

Charles Barkley’s confusion over oat and almond milk
On the recent episode of The Steam Room, guest Candace Parker was discussing types of milk with Ernie Johnson. Sir Charles, in fear of being left out, had an interesting question for the two. He asked, “What is the difference between oat milk and regular milk?” Before the panel could clear his doubts, Barkley hit them with another strange question. He asked, “Is there an animal called oat?”

Sir Charles continued with his pretend confusion about almond milk as well. While we’re sure he knows the difference between these things, Barkley’s ability to hold onto a bit is surely admirable.
