Despite Stinging Punch, Warriors Legend Andre Iguodala’s Emotional Day Gets Embraced With Touching Tribute From Big Brother: “Anybody That’s Ever..”

Andre Iguodala was in good hands when he got to the NBA. He was drafted in 2004 by the Philadelphia 76ers, who had Allen Iverson. Iverson took Iguodala under his wing and gave him the confidence necessary as a player to succeed in the league. Iguodala has said on various occasions how Iverson has been like a big brother to him and always supported him.

So on his big day, his brother is one of the first ones to chime in and congratulate Andre Iguodala for an illustrious career after announcing his retirement from the NBA.

Iverson posted a series of videos and images on Instagram of him sharing the court with a young Iguodala. Iverson also wanted to push the case of Iguodala making basketball immortality.

After seeing his career, it is pretty obvious that Iguodala will make the Hall of Fame. He is a four-time champion and a finals MVP. He is also a one-time All-Star. Iguodala is a key member of the only dynasty in the 21st century so far. He guided the young players of the Golden State Warriors as a veteran on the team.

Allen Iverson captioned the post, “Congratulations lil bro! So proud of you. Anybody thats ever been around you knows how brilliant you are, so after retirement I know you’ll do great things. Hoop wise next stop Hall of Fame!

He is now stepping down and leaving the team to his fellow teammates, and he is now hoping to have some well-deserved family time.

Iverson was a great mentor for Iguodala

Iguodala has talked about the significance of playing with Allen Iverson. When he was young, Iguodala used to look up to many players in the league. In an interview with Shannon Sharpe, Iguodala revealed that Iverson once punched him in the chest when he noticed Iguodala getting impressed by his opponents, whom he was a fan of.

Iverson wanted him to know that Iguodala was better than the player he was looking up to. This was crucial for a young player in the league, as it gave him the confidence to face everyone on the court.
