Over several decades, various NBA athletes have grown into seasoned entrepreneurs. Although it is not an uncommon thing in the league anymore, today, there are more avenues to explore. Considering their immense popularity, these athletes are also very bankable. Recently, NBA veteran Dwyane Wade joined hands with Google to promote their newest project.

However, as a clever businessman, Wade couldn’t let this opportunity go without plugging one of his many ventures. The Miami Heat legend chose to include the company he co-founded with his wife Gabrielle Union to be included in the Google advertisement.

Wade had an incredibly successful career in the NBA. He was the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft by the Miami Heat. He played in the NBA for 16 seasons. In that time, Wade clinched three NBA championships, made 13 All-Star appearances, and won a Finals MVP title in 2006. Although the Olympic Gold Medalist decided to hang up his boots in 2016, this didn’t mean that Wade was about to take a break from work. He has been one of the most popular athletes in the league and has collaborated with several companies while starting a good few of his own.

Li-Ning, MISSION, Hisense, BallerTV, Stance, Budweiser, Mars Reel, Wade Cellars, 800° Woodfired Kitchen, and D. Wade Burgers, are some of the business partnerships the Heat legend has had. Most recently, he collaborated with Google to promote their Duet AI. Wade posted the advertisement on his social media where he can be seen taking the AI’s help to get his work done. Interestingly, all the professional work shown in the ad is related to the company PROUDLY, which was founded by Wade and his wife Gabrielle.

Dwyane Wade’s most passionate project

While Wade has his hands in so many businesses at one time, there are a few that mean a bit more to him. A few months ago he made an investment in the WNBA’s Chicago franchise. While he hopes to help the team scale new heights, there is one other business that has all his attention at all times.

Wade Cellars, his wine business, is something that he has been passionate about for a very long time. Although his family has had a troubled history with alcohol, the smart entrepreneur in Wade understands the potential it has in the world.
