The NBA legend had his hair coloured red (inspired by the Chicago Bulls’ iconic red) and even had the ‘Bulls’ logo in black color, on the back of his head. His preferred jersey number was number ’10’ but since the Bulls had retired the jersey for Bob Love, Rodman picked the number ’91’, whose digits add up to ’10’.

Dennis Rodman always knew how to put on a good show and pull the spotlight to him. His antics on the ‘Bulls’ Media Day’ was his way of letting the people of Chicago know he was here to stay. Popularly known as one of the “bad boys” of the NBA, Rodman’s on-court and off-court antics easily make him one of the most unpredictable NBA players of all time.

Some of Dennis Rodman’s wildest antics

Rodman entered the NBA in 1986 and got drafted into the Detroit Pistons. He spent his formative years as a professional basketball player in Detroit before making his move to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls in 1995. Dennis Rodman’s overall earnings during his time in Chicago Bulls was $16 million. He partied almost every night and his antics in Chicago gave birth to the legend of the ‘most notorious’ title. The NBA legend once crashed a Pearl Jam concert and stayed onstage for 45 minutes. He was drunk and shirtless, and even attempted to sing one of the band’s songs. Rodman finally left the stage once the band cut off his mike.

He was constantly in the news for his ‘not-so-pleasant break ups with his exes. During his time in Chicago, he once skipped practice during the NBA Finals to attend a professional wrestling event with Hulk Hogan. On the court, Dennis Rodman was still just as menacing. He used to sometimes wear lipstick before a game to catch his opponents off-guard when he was defending them. Clearly, the five-time NBA champion would go to any lengths to achieve his desired outcome.
