KG and Paul Pierce have won a ring together. Despite the respect they share for each other, their dynamic is full of jibes and jabs. In that vein, Garnett recently took a shot at The Truth‘s stint with ESPN.
Kevin Garnett’s argument with Paul Pierce takes a hilarious turn over abs
During the ‘KG Certified’ show, Boston Celtics legends Pierce and Garnett were seen engaging in a lighthearted argument. While Paul Pierce confidently claimed to have abs, his 15-time All-Star teammate argued back with how that’s impossible. KG claimed that Pierce isn’t a big fan of workouts and accused The Truth of lying about his abs.

As Paul Pierce attempted to prove his point by lifting his shirt and revealing his in-progress abs, Kevin Garnett, perhaps more concerned about the younger audience, urged him to reconsider, citing it was “Nude.”
“Hold on, no, cuz kids watch this,” the 2004 NBA MVP chimed in. “Nude, that’s why you kicked out of television man,” Kevin Garnett said as he hilariously referenced Pierce’s departure from ESPN.

Two years ago, due to an Instagram clip, Paul Pierce was dismissed from ESPN. The video showcased 2008 Finals MVP hosting a lively party, complete with smoking, drinking, and the presence of some ‘dancer’. The Instagram live video quickly went viral across social media platforms, leading to his untimely dismissal and this quick jab from Kevin Garnett.
Paul Pierce’s reaction to ESPN firing him
ESPN, upon discovering the content, fired Pierce from his role as an analyst. As per the report, there were some conditions and morals according to which the decision was made by the company.
The Truth also shared his side of the story. In an episode of the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast, he broke down how he viewed the whole debacle. Pierce quipped , “I got fired for what? I got fired for having some entertainment.”
