Ever since Dwyane Wade called it quits on basketball, his business side has come alive. With an attractive profile already, the Miami Heat legend hit the purchase button on a famous team in the WNBA. However, the multi-billion team has not shined ever since their first and only title in 2021. Although they did make it to the conference finals last year, the team took a huge dip this season which doesn’t seem promising. As they continue to face challenges, Dwyane Wade’s recent interview is hinting at a possible upset.

The 41-year-old has invested in various industries. Speaking about the difficulties in entrepreneurship, the 3-time champion compared the game of basketball with business to highlight the difference. Along with the difference, his $1.2 billion WNBA team’s situation was also highlighted!

Wade has ownership with NBA’s Utah Jazz as well. The Jazz are yet to win a championship, however, have a decent playoff resume. They have found it difficult to make the playoffs after the departure of their best player Donovan Mitchell. Though it might take a few more seasons to get back on track, reports have revealed Wade is doing wonders on the business side already.

Wade believes he can do the same with WNBA’s Chicago Sky. However, the results so far have been disappointing. Standing at the 9th seed, the $1.2 billion team is in an ongoing war to make it to the postseason alive. Meanwhile, Wade decided to speak business, which sounds revealing.

The Sky have made it to the playoffs four consecutive times. With a 4-game losing streak now, their chance of making it to the playoffs looks minimal. However, Wade’s words are promising a title in the upcoming season.

Apart from ownership in sports teams, Wade has his hand in the wine business. The former Miami veteran spoke about it as well in the interview. Wade added, “It doesn’t happen overnight. You’ve got to put 5-10 years on something…I’ve been in my wine brand now for nine years. People are just now hearing about this.”

Named the ‘Wade Cellars’, the Heat champion started the company back in 2014. However, the fame for it has just started.
