$77.6 Billion Worth Company Leverages Magic Johnson’s Success to Inspire 3000 Employees

He’s been inspirational in arenas with tens of thousands. Now Earvin “Magic” Johnson continues his gospel of winning within the business community. He’s sought after in the corporate world, including by a $77.6 billion business. The 5x NBA champion must’ve received a warm reception at Snowflake Corporate Creative. It didn’t take him long to thank the director who made it happen, along with his family and 3000 employees.
“Thank you to Snowflake Corporate Creative Director Francis Mao and his son Evan for inviting me to speak to over 3,000 members of the Snowflake sales team today in Las Vegas! I really enjoyed the Q&A and the audience gave me a great response to my message about business and how I’ve been a winner and competitor on and off the court,” he wrote on X.

California-based Snowflake has been led by Francis Mao on the creative end for the past five years. His son, Evan Mao, has followed in his footsteps, rising from the intern level to multimedia content services. They apparently took charge of bringing Magic Johnson to inspire the employees.

With 14 championship rings as the Los Angeles Lakers legend and the owner of multiple sports teams as well as thriving business ventures that took him to billionaire status in 2023, Magic Johnson clearly knows the art of winning. The Chairman and CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises is often booked as a keynote speaker.

In 2023 alone, he was the keynote speaker at the Rally Conference in Indianapolis, AAPEX, EO Detroit XCentric Conference, and many more. Some of these had thousands of attendees. His own employees are spoiled by Magic’s charm too. The Magic Johnson Enterprises corporate retreat took place at a tropical getaway complete with monogrammed M merch.

The Washington Commanders are yet to execute Magic’s winning panache, though. After a promising start to his first season as an NFL team owner, the mistakes and cracks in the Commanders’ strategies started to show. Magic deviated from his usually positive messages to scold his team on X.

When the Commanders were eliminated from playoff contention in December, Magic lost his chance to add a 15th ring to his collection. But changes are in order for the team. There have been some drastic changes in the team’s coaching staff, starting from the firing of Ron Rivera and the addition of Dan Quinn. NFL analysts predict there’s going to be more changes in the lineup. Clearly, Magic Johnson is doing everything to keep his winning streak going.
