Despite never being selected as an All-Star, he won the “Sixth Man of the Year” award three times. He is also ranked as the player with the most ‘4-point plays’, coming second only to the current Philadelphia 76ers star, James Harden.

In a recent social media post, this NBA Veteran lauds a 19-year-old NBA rookie.

Despite not winning an NBA Championship in his career, NBA veteran Jamal Crawford contributed to his team as an “off-the-bench” player. His contribution as a ‘non-starter’ was awe-inspiring because of how much he improved his game, throughout his career.

Known for his lethal crossover move and sophisticated basketball moves, Jamal Crawford definitely was a highly skilled NBA player. In a recent “X” post, he praises the 19-year-old NBA rookie, Scoot Henderson. As he posts an NBA highlights video of Scoot Henderson in his post, Jamal Crawford says, “No fat on his game. Simple basketball!”.

 

 

In the highlights video, Scoot Henderson plays “clean and simple” basketball. Sticking to the fundamentals, the NBA rookie makes smooth 2-point jump-shots and drives to the rim when there’s only a high probability of scoring.

In his NBA debut, Victor Wembanyama definitely had a ‘statement’ game. Drafted by the San Antonio Spurs, the 7’4 center scored 20 points and took 5 rebounds in his game against Oklahoma City Thunder. He faced off against another potential ‘Rookie of the Year’ candidate, Chet Holmgren, in his match with OKC. The OKC center stands at a towering 7 feet as he also has an incredible NBA debut with 21 points against the San Antonio Spurs.

Both the rookie centers showed their ‘killer instinct’ when going up against each other. The game ended had an enthralling finish as ‘OKC’ bagged the victory against San Antonio Spurs by 1 point. The final score was 122-121.

There have been many NBA rookies in the past with incredible potential. Potential to even be the greatest of all time but injuries change everything for a professional athlete. A good example of this is Derrick Rose who won the Rookie of the Year and then won the NBA’s ‘Most Valuable Player’ the next year. However, after his career-defining injury, his potential drastically reduced as he had to change his playing style because of his injury.
