In conversation with Matt Barnes, the former Mavs’ big man gave an interesting perspective on the fabled 2011 Finals. Apparently, the tide of the series changed due to Dwyane Wade‘s antics. Tyson Chandler was one of the major defensive assets for Dirk Nowitzki’s team. The Mavericks went down 2-1 in three games and Chandler revealed how the third game loss was a wake-up call for the Dallas outfit.

Tyson said, “They were whooping us in the second game and we were still almost shell shocked.”

Chandler added, “What turned the series was when D Wade hit the three by our bench then held it up and walked by our whole bench. Like super disrespectful. But after that, it was like all right wake up. It woke us up.”

It seems the cold blooded move by The Flash rallied the Mavericks bench unit. In Chandler’s words, “It shifted for us at that point.”
