End of Rudy Gobert? Jazz Player Refuses to Reconcile With Him Due to Misbehaviour

‘The Athletic’ recently reported Donovan Mitchell‘s reluctance to fix issues with fellow Utah Jazz teammate, Rudy Gobert. The two players are not on good terms after Gobert’s actions prior to being tested positive. Rudy was the first one to be declared positive for the virus. This was one of the reasons that contributed to the NBA’s decision of indefinite suspension of the season.
Rudy Gobert faces criticism
Video footage of Rudy Gobert went viral on March 9 in which he is jokingly touching microphones and recording devices at the end of a press conference. Gobert tested positive just two days post this incident. Moreover, Mitchell also got diagnosed positive a few days later. Mitchell was very angry with the actions and lack of precaution by Gobert.

Utah Jazz was fourth in the Western Conference standings before the shutdown of the season. Earlier, Utah’s shooting guard had said, “I’m asymptomatic. I don’t have any symptoms.” He added saying, “I think that’s the scariest part about this virus. You may seem fine, be fine. And you never know who you may be talking to, who they’re going home to.”

Utah Jazz tries ‘fixing’ issues
Jazz is trying its best to fix issues between the two players of their team. Sources talked about the duo’s relationship to ‘The Athletic’ saying, “It doesn’t appear salvageable.” The team shared that, “their relationship will improve over time.” and also few other details about it. ‘Bleacher Report’ noted that, ‘Still, there’s no way to know if Gobert gave it to Mitchell or if it was the other way around or some other factor. That’s something the team tried to make clear to Mitchell, according to sources.”

Joe Ingles further told ‘The Athletic’ that he’s confident everything will be fine with the team. “I’m confident our team will be completely fine. The chemistry will be fine,” Ingles said, “Like you said, we’ve been known around the league to be a close bunch of guys and I believe we still are.”
