Bronny James, son of the NBA legend LeBron James, finally made the long-awaited comeback after being sidelined for almost 5 months. The young star suffered from a cardiac arrest during a practice session in July. Since then, fans eagerly awaited for Young LeBron to fully recover and make his debut in his college basketball career. But what was supposed to be all about Bronny took a completely different turn. Several fans took to social media to turn Bronny’s debut into an amusing mockery fest for his father, LeBron James.

Fans target LeBron’s college skip

As Bronny James made his long-awaited debut in a match against Long Beach State, the excitement in the arena could be felt in the air. However, this celebration quickly turned into a mockery of his dad, LeBron James. During the match, as Bronny scored the first basket of his college career, fans didn’t shy away from taking sarcastic digs at his dad, who had to skip college, as he was drafted by the NBA in 2003 right after finishing high school.

As funny as that sounds, Bronny’s single basket, that too during his debut game, ended up putting him ahead of his legendary father in terms of points. Taking note of the bizarre situation, media house Playmaker took to X to share this important piece of news. However, soon after, hilarity ensued as fans flocked to the comments section to let their thoughts be known.

One fan hilariously wrote, “He can always hold that over pops head”, while another user sarcastically wrote, “That’s every Dad’s dream. To see a child do more than his dad 👍🏽.” Another fan hilariously quipped: “Destined for greatness 😂.”

Someone mockingly wrote, “Congratulations on this great achievement,” as if taking a dig at that single basket that helped the son overpower his father.

Off-court hilarity aside, it wasn’t a good day for Bronny on the court either. Notably, the 19-year-old suffered a huge upset on the day of his debut.
