In a recent match played between the University of Kentucky Blue and White, a surprise awaited all. Not only an upset but also the emergence of an astonishing player to take the mantle of scoring in his own hands.
In the contest, the Kentucky Blue team outdid their White counterparts by a decent margin of 100-89. The game was played at Truist Arena on Northern Kentucky University’s campus on Saturday. The scoreline came as a surprise as the Blue team comprised of players expected to come off the bench this season whereas the White featured stars who are anticipated to be in the starting five. But one performance that won all hearts was the Kentucky Blue’s point guard Rob Dillingham.

Rob got the ball rolling as he scored early and pocketed shorts from all over the court to help the Blue Team get an unassailable lead. He was an absolute stunner as he pulled a backward pass from between the legs to his teammate Adou Thiero. It didn’t take much for the 18-year-old to show his aggression on court as he went inside the paints with the ball to execute astounding dunks. By halftime Rob already had pocketed 24 points.

Starting the next half with a steal, Rob proved his mettle by scoring 40 points with seven assists and five rebounds. Thus, he did not only fare exceptionally well in his offense but also proved a point with his defense.
Being a five-star recruit, Rob chose Kentucky as his preferred team in 2022. With his exceptional skills and talent, he had led the USA National Team to a gold medal during the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship.
His latest performance however was unexpected as he battled it out against four Kentucky stars – DJ Wagner, Antonio Reeves, Justin Edwards and Tre Mitchell. But when can we see Rob in action?

The college basketball season will commence on November 6 with a contest between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Morehead State Eagles. The Kentucky Wildcats will compete with the New Mexico State Aggies in their first game of the season on November 7.
Though Rob has drawn all attention to himself, it remains to be seen if John Calipari will feature the rising star in his starting five. The NCAA also recently had a media day.
