With the NBA fever that started four days ago, America’s two most popular sports will be in a tug of war for eyeballs. LeBron James, who returns to Sacramento on the historic, 20th anniversary of his NBA debut, has a found love for NFL and takes to X every Sunday to pick his NFL players of the week.

Both NFL and NBA fans religiously look forward to seeing the king of the hardwood court’s picks. King James, known for his savvy and strength, is an original in plenty of ways. Except for his NBA glory, the all-time leading scorer is indeed an NFL regular and has been flexing some nearly-perfect predictions. While fans were in awe of his Week 4 picks, was today was today’s no-show a foreshadowing of what is to come in the following weeks?

On Sunday, while the NFL regular season heads on into its eighth week, the NBA also has playoff games lined up. LeBron’s LA Lakers are up against the Sacramento Kings. Last Sunday, during National Tight Ends’ Day, James had put Chiefs TE, Travis Kelce, on the top of a list with his favorite TEs from the game. If you’re an ardent follower of the L-train, you will know that he puts out a list of his favorite players every week. But his recent tweet is set to disappoint many NFL fans,

We checked and the Lakers have a game against the Orlando Magic next Sunday. Does that mean we will not get to hear from him next week as well? But, hey, King James said he’ll be there next Sunday. And he’s a man of his word!

NFL Fans are struggling to thrive without his picks!

When LeBron James didn’t let his heart get in the way of picking the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Houston Texans built a 13-0 lead in the first half.
