George Kittle is fully focused right now. His team, the San Francisco 49ers, has a 6-4 record, and every play matters as they push for the playoffs. But this week, the tight end is also celebrating something special off the field, he just became an uncle. The 32-year-old and his wife, Claire, expressed their excitement over the new addition to the family.

Soon after, Kittle jumped on Instagram and joined the celebration too. “I’m an uncle! Woot woot!!” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Claire Kittle joined the moment. She shared her own story online. “The little Kittle (Ponce) is here!” she wrote. It hit differently coming from her. She has watched this family grow over the years.

Cody and Emma tied the knot back in June 2023. Now, this baby might be the beginning of something even bigger, and perhaps a family reunion is already in the works.

The baseball pitcher, Cody, might return to Major League Baseball (MLB) after a strong season overseas, and several teams are interested. One of them is the San Francisco Giants, according to insider Andrew Baggarly, the team has shown interest. If Ponce signs with the Giants, George and Claire Kittle would have family living just across town.

Cody and George might show up at each other’s games. Giants fans would enjoy seeing the Kittles at Oracle Park, and 49ers fans would cheer loudly if the Ponces visited Levi’s Stadium. But for now, it’s back to business.

Kittle is focused on leading the Red and Gold, and he’s doing it in every way.

George Kittle is leading the 49ers in every sense

George Kittle knows he is a leader for the Niners. Yet he does not want the spotlight every single time. He made that very clear inside The Bay’s locker room.

“I don’t like talking every single time. I don’t want to talk in every single speech. There are guys on this team who have voices, who need to be heard, and Chase is one of those guys who might not get a lot of reps on defense, but he’s working really hard on special teams, and he leads the guys by example. His energy is good for us.”

That is why on Thursday he pushed Chase Lucas to speak before the team’s longest practice of the week. And Lucas stepped up right away.

“I got to say what I need to say to my boys, and getting them juiced and ready to roll. I feel like everybody says I always know what to say, but I’m just speaking from the heart. Whatever comes to my head, if it makes sense.”

He was a captain at Arizona State. He knows how to command a room. Kittle saw that leadership and trusted it. Finally, Lucas confirmed how it went down.

“Yes, he did,” Lucas said about Kittle’s request. “He said, ‘You got something you want to say to them?’ I said, ‘Hell, yeah, I got something I want to say to them.’ So I just told them we got a great opportunity in front of us, and this season can change within this game. It could change positively or negatively. We got to go out there and do what we can, to be in the best positive way.”

Now Kittle has the room behind him. Next up are the Cardinals. The Red and Gold are ready to roll.
