Where there’s dark, there’s light. This is not a joke. It’s a fact. Ask the Mahomes… Patrick Mahomes has been chasing that 3-peat with the Chiefs on the gridiron. But there’s a life off that green patch of grass. That’s where family comes in. And that’s also where the talk of expanding the family comes in… But how can the Mahomes know whether to bask in joy or think about what’s next with the sad news?

For now, Pat’s pregnant wife, Brittany, has revealed her New Year’s wish… 8 days later, but it was a bit of an obvious one. She posted herself on her Instagram in an all-white maternity fit, smiling, a radiant ‘about to be a mommy’ look oozing out of the lens as the caption read: “Hello 2025✨ we’re ready for you, little one🎀.”

Brittany Mahomes is in the final stretch, and she’s not keeping it under wraps—literally. That’s a soon-to-be-mom energy if you have seen one. And while most of us have seen Pat calm under center… He’s, obviously, not able to in this case. He revealed in a Netflix interview that the timing’s been a bit of a nail-biter. And obviously with KC in the postseason run (as if it was a doubt, duh!), it’s getting a lil too much.

“Brittany says I’ve been stressing her out too much this season,” he admitted, referencing the rollercoaster NFL games. Can you blame her, though? The stakes are sky-high for the Chiefs, and Patrick’s juggling game-winning drives with late-night diaper talks. The Chiefs’ #15 even joked they’re hoping for a bye-week delivery—because nothing says “team player” like scheduling childbirth around the playoffs.

But one thing’s for sure, that this Mahomes kid won’t have too much to ask for. Just like the other two… Sterling and Bronze are already living the MVP life of the multiple- SB ring collector Dad. Jokes aside, though, if we talk about their Christmas haul? A mini G-Wagon for Bronze and a pink Range Rover for Sterling—because why settle for regular toys when you can roll in style?

Brittany hilariously shared how Bronze was all smiles after meeting Santa, though the actual photo op was a bit of a fumble. “A perfect picture of how the Santa pictures did not go…😂,” she joked. With humor, love, and just a pinch of chaos, the Mahomes family is gearing up for their newest addition… But also with a heavy heart.

Patrick Mahomes and fam are not having it easy right now

Life’s been throwing deep passes and curveballs at Patrick Mahomes’ family lately, and his mom, Randi, is right in the middle of it all. Back in September, she celebrated her superstar son’s 29th birthday, all while caring for her ailing father, Randy. That’s a lot on anyone’s plate, but Mama Mahomes’ strength shines through.

Will the Mahomes' growing family impact Patrick's performance on the field, or fuel his success?

Have an interesting take?

In an emotional Instagram story, she wrote, “This is how I fight my battles… PRAY for my dad now.” A heartfelt plea from a mom who’s juggling joy and heartache like it’s Sunday football. If you follow Randi, you’d know her updates have been a mix of hope and grit. Over the holidays, she shared bittersweet moments with her dad, who’s been in and out of the hospital. On New Year’s Eve, instead of ringing in 2025 with confetti, she asked her followers for prayers: “Prayer warriors, please pray for my daddy. He is in the hospital and is not well.”

Despite the tough times, Randi found reasons to celebrate. On January 6th, she posted a sweet birthday tribute to her dad, complete with a photo in front of what looked like a private jet. “Happy Birthday Daddy. I love You,” she wrote. Even in hardship, she’s cherishing the moments she has. And isn’t that what it’s all about? Finding joy in the huddle, no matter how rough the game gets.

Randi’s dad also reminded everyone of what really matters with a handwritten note: “Share the most precious gift—your time.” It hit home for Randi, who passed the wisdom along to her followers: “Life is short, don’t take anything for granted.” A message we all need, especially during times of challenge and change.
