The football season is heating up. As we get into the 2nd half of the season, each game played has monumental consequences. The same applies to this Sunday night when the Minnesota Vikings take on the Denver Broncos. Both teams are on impressive win streaks. But will the injuries and unavailability hamper the skill of the game?

Injuries are part of all sports, but more so in football. And as the games rack up, so do the injuries. Both the Broncos and the Vikings are dealing with injuries. Also, both teams are on the hunt for a playoff spot. But the latest injury report can destabilize both sides in this crucial matchup.

Injury report for both teams have fears and hopes

The home team, Broncos, has 3 players listed as limited. OT Garett Bolles, RB Samaje Perine and Guard Ben Powers. The decision to have them play will be taken on the day of the game itself. While Safety P.J. Locke who injured his ankle against the Bills has been ruled out.

The Vikings, on the other hand, have a lot to worry about as well. Two players have been declared unfit: CB Akayleb Evans and QB Jaren Hall. They will not step on the field. But LB Brian Asamoah II, WR Justin Jefferson, RB Alexander Mattison, QB Nick Mullens, and Guard Chris Reed are listed as questionable. The Vikings have been dealt a bad hand, but their newest acquisition is taking them to victories.

Both the Broncos and the Vikings had a horrid start to the season. But have recently turned their fortunes around. The Broncos going on a 3-game winning streak, while the Vikings are on a 5-game winning streak. QB Russell Wilson has started to flourish under HC Sean Payton and his next challenge is the youngster, Joshua Dobbs.

Though the Broncos are at the bottom of the AFC West table with 4-5 they still have an outside chance to get to the playoffs. They will need to pull up their socks and be the winning unit they have been for the last few weeks and post-season might be fruitful to them.

The Vikings are 6-4 and should comfortably get into the playoffs with their record. But they can’t get complacent, especially with the number of injuries in their squad. This Sunday Night game will be electric no matter what.
