Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders recently teamed up with Drive Point Auto Group for a community car giveaway, asking fans to nominate someone who truly makes a difference. The nomination deadline was October 30, and excitement built as the winner was announced, a hardworking mother, personally called by Shedeur to share the news. But there was a playful twist.

Shilo Sanders, Shedeur’s brother, jokingly commented on the giveaway post: “How do we enter?” He wasn’t seriously trying to win, but fans noticed the humor, especially since Shilo had recently joked about being broke after being cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, earlier this year.
When Shedeur revealed the winner, some fans teased that Shilo got snubbed, even though he was clearly just having fun. The moment added a light-hearted touch to an otherwise heartfelt initiative, showing both brothers engaging with their community, and each other, with personality and warmth.

In his latest Instagram reel, Shedeur Sanders personally announced the giveaway winner. “Your kids nominated you to get this free car we’re giving out,” Sanders told the woman on the call.

“Yeah, so now, we are definitely excited, and we definitely hear you are a hard-working woman. You know, we just want to help you out.”

The woman was very emotional. Holding back tears, she told Shedeur that her old car’s engine had stopped working. Since then, she had been walking and using Ubers to get to work. It hadn’t been easy for her.
“Don’t cry, and don’t worry about it,” Shedeur reassured the woman. “We are gonna take care of you for sure.”

The Browns QB then asked if she could meet him at the car dealership the next day, and she didn’t hesitate.
“Yes, sir!” she said with excitement. Partnering with Drive Point Auto Group, Kia and Hyundai of Bedford, and Fox 8 News, Shedeur launched the car giveaway initiative. They then reviewed every nomination carefully, choosing the winner based on need and community impact.
So, it’s safe to say Shilo wouldn’t mind getting ‘snubbed’ by his little brother this time. But fans had a good laugh as Shilo suggested that he wanted to be a part of the announcement.

Fans also know that Shilo himself has been doing some good deeds.
Just days earlier, he had worked a shift at a local KFC and met an employee named Connie Knight – the same name as his grandmother. Moved by the coincidence, Shilo paid for her entire shift. It’s moments like this that show the fans who the Sanders brothers really are.

Shedeur Sanders makes a heartwarming decision on the Cleveland initiative
When Shedeur Sanders posted the winner’s call on Instagram on November 10, fans were quick to praise him. His kindness and sincerity shone through as he mentioned that he just wanted to call her to let her know that “it’s real for sure” that she will get a car. As a Philadelphia Eagles fan, the woman even had a special message for the Browns QB.
“I love the Eagles, but I want to see Shedeur soar,” she said. “That’s been my motto since Day 1.”

Shedeur has been backing up fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel for the past few weeks in Cleveland. Despite the loss to the New York Jets in Week 10, head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed that Gabriel will start for the Browns. But Shedeur doesn’t seem discouraged.
“God works in mysterious ways,” Shedeur said humbly to the woman on the call. Shedeur made it clear that his goal was simply to spread kindness and hope in his community. “I’m just a messenger,” he said.
As such, the woman ultimately said, “God Bless you… I love you.” Interestingly, this isn’t Shedeur’s first act of generosity.
Back in December 2024, while finishing his college career at Colorado, he gifted his offensive lineman Jordan Seaton a luxurious car. Shedeur bought him a Mercedes-Maybach S-Class worth around $200,000 – just to thank him for protecting him on the field.
Moreover, now as Shedeur waits for his own moment to shine with the Browns, he’s already proving he knows what true leadership looks like – giving, caring, and lifting others up. So, while he might not have won games for the Browns yet, the rookie has been winning hearts in his community.
