With six AFC West titles, three AFC Conference Championships, three Super Bowl appearances, and two rings alongside two MVPs to his name inside six seasons, the quarterback has one of the best game/trophy ratios in the history of the league. Well, Chiefs’ Head Coach Reid acknowledges how Mahomes manages to get those chucks and risk rewards to get those ridiculous numbers for his team.

Ahead of the big Eagles match on Monday, Reid talked about the specialty of Mahomes. He particularly detailed the times when the score is close, and the quarterback comes in clutch to add the extra push to the team. Mahomes, on the other hand, opened up about his plans for the upcoming Super Bowl rematch against the NFC rivals.

The 65-year-old was asked about what it feels to have someone like Patrick Mahomes when things are tougher than usual. During the press conference, Reid was asked about having Magic C (referring to Mahomes) and “take those chunks and those risk rewards.” In reply, he pointed out the rollercoaster that happens out there in the field, and also the very times when someone like Mahomes is needed to save the day. He also talked about the leadership quality of the quarterback, insisting he makes the team around him more effective.

“There’s no better weekend than this past one to look at how crazy the league is and how much parity there is in the league. The league strive for that, give every city an opportunity to be successful and you saw it. I mean this past weekend was wild, so to have somebody like Pat ends up being a big part of that”, Reid talked about the wild nature of the league, and how the team has their best weapon in that scenario.
