It’s week 4 of the season. Dolphins vs Jets. The Phins were leading 10-3 at the 13:28 mark in the 3rd quarter when the tragedy struck. QB Tua Tagovailoa passed the ball to the ace WR Tyreek Hill on a 3rd and 8 down. The Jets’ safety Malachi Moore tackled the receiver while taking him out of bounds. But during that tackle, his leg snapped awkwardly. The medical team rushed to the field while players kneeled and prayed for him. He was then taken off the field in a wheelchair.

It was truly a hard moment to watch. The Super Bowl winner and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes was among the first ones to pray for his good health. He wrote on X, “Prayers up man….. 🙏🏽🙏🏽” They played together from 2017 to 2021, winning Super Bowl LVII together. Moreover, he caught Grim Reaper’s first career touchdown pass back in 2018. Others also joined in.

Bills LT Dion Dawkins also watched the video of Cheetah getting injured. He also couldn’t stop himself from praying for his well-being and posted, “Prayers up for the cheetah #TyreekHill 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽” The injury is brutal and can have far-reaching consequences.

Associate NFL insider Larry Foster also tweeted the video of Tyreek Hill getting injured. Along with the details of his left leg snapping the wrong way, he also mentioned that his career might be over. If that happens, it could be one of the most dramatic injuries ever. Hill is the Dolphins’ WR1.

Another reporter, Dov Kleiman, also commented on the brutal injury. He prayed for Hill and his family, but he also mentioned how his leg was bent the wrong way. Although he was more considerate in giving the recovery time, he mentioned that Tyreek Hill is out of the 2025 season. The Phins are looking for their first win of the season. But this could spell doom for them.

FOX reporter Jordan Schultz was so disturbed by the injury that he requested people not to share the video on social media. However, for millions of Cheetahs fans, they couldn’t believe their eyes when they saw his leg being twisted during the roll.

The Dolphins’ team was also worried when they saw their key player going off the field.

Tyreek Hill was taken straight to the hospital

The week 4 game was unbelievable from the moment it started. Tyreek Hill was pumping his teammates before the game. Before injuring his leg, he led their receiving department with 6 receptions for 67 yards. And once he was injured, the fans started praying while he tried to calm everyone down.

Even when the medical team was taking him away in a wheelchair, he had a big smile on his face. It was his way of telling everyone to stay patient. But the Phins didn’t waste any time and took him straight to the hospital. The medical tests are being carried out. Still, the way his leg got twisted and the disbelief in his eyes, it’s definitely serious.

If the worst fears about his season ending or career getting over come true, then the HC Mike McDaniel needs to make some hard changes in his strategy. In the first 3 games of the 2025 season, Tyreek Hill logged 15 receptions for 198 yards and 1 touchdown. And they needed to be cautious whenever they played against the Jets.
