The retired NBA legend kicked off the night soirée with myriad sports celebs, including Randi Mahomes, Russell Wilson, and Ciara.

Amid the party fun, one sportswriter stumbled upon Steelers QB Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara. The writer described Wilson with a determined expression, seemingly prepared for a barrage of camera flashes. He said, “I had the pleasure of running into Wilson and Ciara. You know, like he’s walking down the hallway, and he’s got a look on his face. Like he prepares a model face and is angry.” 

Wilson believed that many cameras were filming him, per the sportswriter. However, the only one documenting the moment was the writer himself. Laughing it out, he asserted, “[Wilson] was walking in the casino, and only I was taking his picture—it was the funniest thing I’d ever seen.” For the sports journalist, this unexpected moment proved to be a rather funny highlight.

Steelers QB Russell Wilson emotional after receiving Father’s Day gift 

Russell Wilson received a touching Father’s Day surprise—Nike Kobe sneakers—from the late Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa. This gesture is meaningful, as it takes place four years after the tragic death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna. The 35-year-old is one of the best dads out there, and Vanessa positively honored him, per Marca. 

Wilson took to IG to share this emotional moment, expressing his gratitude for “the amazing Father’s Day gift.” He posted a clip on his Instagram Story, captioning: “So GRATEFUL! Thanks, Sis, for the amazing Father’s Day gift! #GirlDad.” The father of three also tagged Vanessa and Nike in the story.

Pittsburgh QB is known for having a deeply cherished bond with his wife and kids. Recently, the young family went to the Pennsylvania amusement park with Steelers teammates for a ‘bonding event.’ Justin Fields, Mason McCormick, and Troy Fautanu were also spotted at the park riding roller coasters.
