The Dallas Cowboys came out of their bye week registering a victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. Coming back to the Cowboys’ WR duo, it was revealed that CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens “were not on the field during the first drive for disciplinary reasons,” as reported by The Athletic‘s Jon Machota. Hence, Dallas had a slow start to the game with two short runs by Javonte Williams and an incomplete pass on third down. Then Dallas went three-and-out and was forced to punt.
However, the Cowboys quickly recovered as Dak Prescott passed for 268 yards and four touchdowns, leading his team to the victory. With this road win, Dallas sits second in the NFC East with a 4-5-1 record. Reacting to this win, Jerry Jones had special praise for Pickens, who continued his incredible form in the 2025-26 season.

Jerry Jones in awe of George Pickens’ performance
Ahead of this MNF clash against the Raiders, the Cowboys had been through a difficult phase with the unfortunate passing of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland. But come game time, Dallas produced a resounding performance as a tribute to their player.

And one of the top-performing stars for them was wide receiver George Pickens. The former Pittsburgh Steelers star ended the game with nine catches for 144 yards and a touchdown. After the match, team owner Jerry Jones described Pickens’ performance as a work of artistry.
“Pickens was, I’ve never seen a performance like that. It was poetic the way that he was making those moves out there. It was like he was in an opera or something out there. A ballet,” Jones said, as reported by Yahoo Sports.
Looking back at this win, the Cowboys put forth one of their best performances of the season to stay alive in the playoff race. Before this game, Dallas suffered three defeats in their last four games. But now with the Philadelphia Eagles, Kansas City Chiefs, and Detroit Lions next up on the schedule, Dallas cannot afford to make any more mistakes, especially if they want to make a deep run in the 2025-26 playoffs.
