The one thing that everyone will be expecting from the Dallas Cowboys vs the Green Bay Packers’ Sunday game is lots of points being scored. The reason for this? The Cowboys rank 27th in points allowed, 29th in passing yards given up, and last in opponents’ net yards gained per pass attempt.

On the other side are the Packers with a strong offensive stats of 300 yards per game. And their already strong defense has received a boost from last month’s trade. The inclusion of Micah Parsons after his fallout in Dallas.
But the scriptwriters of the league have a different way of flipping the script. Exactly one month after this spectacular trade, Parsons is back at the ‘Jerry’s World’.

So, Terry Bradshaw talked about what Jerry Jones must have in mind against Parsons. He had a few suggestions for his ‘buddy’, “I don’t care what happens today. We going triple teaming. We going double teaming, we going hit him, spin on him, cut him, hold his leg. When Gary will, may have seven sacks there, the linebacker who has four and a half but Micah, not one sack today.”

Jerry Jones knows how big a threat Parsons is, not only because of his past record but also because of his ongoing performance. Parsons has already generated 19 pressures, which is the second most in the NFL 2025 season.

He also has 1.5 sacks in the three games and has graded as PFF’s No. 4 overall edge rusher out of 115 qualifiers.
Apart from his spectacular performance, Parsons has also expressed his feelings about facing his ex-teammates. Earlier, he mentioned it would be “painful” to sack his mentor, Dak Prescott.
He also mentioned, “I hope it’s not (painful) for me, and I hope he doesn’t get me for one.”
But it’s not only Parsons who has addressed the unique situation of facing his ex-team on his ex-home stadium; Jones has also been quite vocal about his strategies regarding Parsons.
Jerry Jones has his own plans for Micah
While discussing facing Parsons on 105.3 The Fan, Jones first started by praising his ex-player. “Micah will be problematic, very problematic”. Jones said. “Micah is special—we all know he is—and he can be disruptive. While he makes great plays.”
He then discussed what he has in mind for himself and where Parsons struggles. “I’d suggest that we get ahead and run the ball. From a game-planning standpoint, having Micah for four years was a huge advantage. But there were also plays, especially in the run game, where you wish you had a different formation.”
Although it appears that Jones had a strategy in place for Parsons, and his offense is prepared to deal with him, the Cowboys’ current stats don’t support his claims.

And throughout the entire season, they have given up big-yardage receptions. Till now, they have surrendered 13 completions and five passing touchdowns of at least 25 yards. This is the most they have allowed in the last 45 years.
Maybe this is the worst time for the Cowboys to face the Packers. But you can sense that this was coming, sooner rather than later.
