The two-time Grammy-winning artist Miley Cyrus got a shoutout from an unexpected source. After a video of Taylor Swift cheering the Flowers hitmaker at the 2024 Grammy Awards went viral, the popstar seems to be the obvious guess. However, it was Travis Kelce‘s previous beau, Kayla Nicole, who professed admiration for Cyrus online.

In a post on X, Nicole confessed that she is a “Miley fan” and she doesn’t care about the opinions of naysayers.

Nicole, who hails from Califronia, started dating the Kansas City Chiefs’ star back in 2017 in what was an “on-again, off-again” relationship. The model met Kelce through Instagram where after some time of following each other and liking each other’s pictures, Nicole slid into his DMs on New Year’s, as per People.

Among constant breakup rumors, Kelce and Nicole finally called it quits in 2022. A year later, the tight end started dating his current girlfriend, and the couple soon became the talk of the town. Sharp eyed fans soon noticed that Nicole has unfollowed her earlier friends, Patrick and Brittany  Mahomes, soon after Swift was spotted hanging out with Brittany. Swift’s presence in the NFL sphere was received with skepticism at first, but the singer’s impact on the viewership and popularity of the sport has been immense. Now that Nicole and Kelce have moved one with their lives, the model’s recent comment on one of the posts by a Kelce clan member, caught the internet’s attention.

In the comment section fans and family members expressed their condolences, but one specific comment got the fans talking.

Nicole also reached out to the grieving Kylie saying, “Winnie girl. What a sweet life she lived,” with a heart emoji. Fans were divided in their reaction to Travis’s former partner’s comment. While some defended Nicole by pointing out that her bond with Kylie and other Kelces shouldn’t be affected by her break-up with Travis, other fans had a stronger reaction. Some fans also opined that Nicole should’ve reached out personally to Kylie instead of a public comment, knowing that it would gain undue attention.

Though Nicole seems to have moved on in her personal life, instances in the news keep bringing her time with Kelce to the forefront. The sports journalist had stated earlier that she is out of her “athelete” phase, and talked about her mental space after the break-up with Kelce. As for now, she hasn’t opened up about being back in the dating space.
