Jalen Hurts has a reason why he failed! The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is arguably considered one of the top QBs in the league. However, in the latest event, Hurts failed to be among the top passers.

For the second consecutive year, the all-star participants won’t engage in a traditional football game. Instead, the NFL decided to eliminate the Pro Bowl game last year and introduced a skills competition along with a flag football game as replacements. The NFL Pro Bowl games started with the precision passing game on Thursday. And Hurts squared off against other quarterbacks in that.

A loss for Jalen Hurts and the reason is real!

QB Jalen Hurts and other quarterbacks, including Tua Tagovailoa, CJ Stroud, Baker Mayfield, Gardner Minshew, and Geno Smith, took part in a precision passing game on Thursday. In this event, each of the three quarterbacks from both conferences competed in a one-minute accuracy competition. Their goal was to accumulate points by hitting as many targets as possible during the game.

Hurts competed with the rest of the quarterbacks, however, scored only 17 points in total, which was less than other NFC quarterbacks, and second among all. While walking off disappointed after the game, Hurts candidly revealed the reason for his failure, saying, “I’ve been off for a couple of weeks.”

The top quarterbacks from the AFC and NFC conferences were CJ Stroud and Baker Mayfield, respectively. Stroud gained 26 points in total, and Mayfield earned 24 points. These two top quarterbacks from each conference then squared off against each other for the final round.

In the final round, these two QBs had six throws to compete with each other, wherein Stroud got 7 points in total, and Mayfield won the competition with 8 points. The scores of the other quarterbacks are: Geno Smith (20); Gardner Minshew (21); and Tua Tagovailoa last the competition with just 16 points.

The brothers, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, were serving as coaches for the inaugural Pro Bowl Games.
