John Harbaugh is ready to proceed to the next chapter of this Ravens’ 2023 season book. Despite the loss against Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Coach looked focused on the playoff scenario. While the Ravens met a disappointing result in the absence of their QB1 Lamar Jackson and WR1, they would be content to get the bad play out of their way and focus on making any required amends.

Harbaugh came to the post-game presser and spoke on the team’s performance against the Steelers. Safe to say that he hasn’t lost his trust in the team as he maintained a composed yet encouraging outlook about the future. For now, the coach is banking on the banged-up roster to heal for the playoffs.

The Ravens had a solid regular season and now that it has come to an end, there is no chip on Harbaugh’s shoulder. He said how the Ravens did an outstanding job “writing” a chapter till this point and hoped that the team would maintain the same momentum going into the playoffs. The Ravens now have 2 weeks to prepare for divisional round games and Harbaugh is ready to take on it.

“We have the opportunity to write the next chapters, at least we will get a chance to write two, in the next two weeks and then we’ll go from there. So, hopefully, we earn the opportunity to write more than that. But I’m proud of the team, coaches, players, and everybody in the organization for what’s been accomplished up until this point in the regular season,” Said Harbaugh with a positive outlook into the future.

For Harbaugh and the Ravens, the team has quite some time before their next game, which is still to be disclosed. Though this game was of no real consequence to the Ravens, the HC might have regretted sitting Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr. out of the game.

Tyler Huntley was the one who took over for Lamar Jackson in this game. Huntley made 15 of his 28 passes today over 146 yards. He also had a touchdown in this game. The difference between Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley though remained that Jackson has still been able to clinch wins despite putting sub-par numbers on the paper due to his great team understanding. So, in essence, Jackson’s absence did play a huge role in tonight’s loss.

Another play whose presence was duly missed by the side was WR Odell Beckhan Jr. The star plays a significant role in the Offensive side and helps create a stability alongside their starting QB. The miss coordination during the game could be pointed out to be the biggest flaw for the Ravens in the absence of their two main players.

One take at a time

Basketball has stuck with me ever since I was a kid. I remember watching Kobe Bryant sometime in 2008 and being blown away. Like every kid my age, I was utterly taken aback by his moves and abilities as an athlete.
