Speaking after the Raiders’ practice session, Eric Stokes got excited as he discussed the opportunity of facing his former University of Georgia teammate. But soon, the former Green Bay Packers cornerback highlighted how the Las Vegas plans to have aggressive coverage for Pickens as and when he gets the ball.
“That man catches pretty much everything. So rule No. 1, you gotta hit the ball first,” Stokes said, as reported by Silver & Black Sports Network.

Similarly, Las Vegas Defensive coordinator Patrick Graham is also highly impressed by Pickens and highlighted his speed, catching ability, and ‘savviness’ in a recent press conference. Further, Graham also alluded to how similar Pickens is to an NFL legend.
“I’m not going to make any comparisons because, again, I’m talking about a person I used to see in practice a bunch of times, Randy Moss, who’s the best to ever do it. But I’m not making that comparison, but I’ve seen flashes of that type of play before,” Graham said.

This may seem an exaggeration for a second-string receiver, but George Pickens has earned the praise. The former Steelers WR sits fourth in the league in receiving yards while leading the league by drawing 116 yards on defensive pass interference flags. Pickens has six touchdowns, making him an integral part of the Cowboys’ offense, which ranks fourth in points for and offensive yards across the league. Hence, Dallas Cowboys WR coach Junior Adams also had some high praise for his WR.

Cowboys coach makes telling admission on George Pickens
The Dallas Cowboys were caught in a predicament when WR1 CeeDee Lamb suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 3 against the Bears, which caused him to miss three games. Here, the Cowboys chose to lean on George Pickens with crucial offensive responsibilities, and the 24-year-old delivered.
Hence, when wide receivers coach Junior Adams was asked about Pickens’ performance this season, he made it clear that the former Pittsburgh Steelers star has “carried” them through the season. Adams further added that he wanted Pickens “to play the way he’s played,” and he credited Pickens’ growth and enjoyment within the Cowboys’ system as crucial to his success.
With George Pickens firing on all cylinders, the Dallas Cowboys have a golden opportunity to take care of business at Allegiant Stadium and move forward in the NFC ahead of two challenging clashes against the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
