The Baltimore Ravens go against the Cleveland Browns this weekend, and Myles Garrett is already causing problems in the Ravens’ locker room. If Ronnie Stanley does return to the lineup, he would walk straight into a tough assignment against Myles Garrett and one of the league’s most disruptive defensive fronts.
“I mean, just the mixture of speed and power and agility that he brings makes you just be disciplined. You have to be extra focused, and the speed of your game has to be sped up,” Ronnie Stanley said on the Lounge podcast. “He has more of a full array of moves, speed, and power than probably anyone I’ve gone against.”

When Myles Garrett entered the league as the No. 1 overall NFL draft pick in 2017, he already showed rare explosion off the edge. His 2025 stats from ESPN show 11 sacks so far this season. Over his career, he has become the Browns’ all-time sack leader. His performances have contributed to the Browns having the best defense score in the league so far, with an 86.1 AFF grade for defense.
“He can give you a lot of things. He can get you with speed or power, just like Jadeveon. You just have to be ready for them.” Stanley said back in 2017.

Just like his recent comments, Stanley’s take comes as a warning to the locker room regarding what Garrrett. Stanley was in his second year back in 2017 as a left tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. He remembers Garrett from that season, comparing his athleticism and power to Jadeveon Clowney.

Garrett’s reputation has only grown over time, with 34 solo and 10 assist tackles this season.

“I’ll get a giggle out of it,” Jordan Mailata said about Garrett’s effectiveness. “I’ll be honest. I’m just standing, like, ‘What the f***?’ Sorry, I did my job, and yet I still got beat.”
Garrett’s impact is felt across the league, with players like Eagles offensive tackle Jordan Mailata expressing a similar sense of awe and frustration.

Over time, veterans have come to respect his relentless versatility. On defense, the Browns rank top of the league. Their overall defense has become a strength, bolstered by Garrett’s pressure. Stanley is still aware of Garrett’s abilities and looks forward to making a comeback against him after being sidelined by a knee injury.
Ronnie Stanley is in doubt against the Browns
According to the latest injury report, Ronnie Stanley was absent from the practice session ahead of the Browns. Stanley was recovering from knee issues that kept him off the field during the Browns-Ravens game in Week 10 of 2023. Myles Garrett took advantage of Lamar Jackson’s weakened left side by sacking him 1.5 times throughout the tight battle.

“These guys are tough, but down the stretch things start to slow down and guys kind of settled into things and we played the way we had practiced,” Myles Garrett said after the game in 2023. “We made the plays we needed to make.”
Stanley’s injury that day began a grueling recovery. He returned to practice later that season. But the left tackle was haunted by injuries that impacted his previous seasons. He re-signed with Baltimore in March 2025 on a three-year, $60 million deal. He claimed he feels as good as he has since 2019, with six games played this season.
With the Ravens at 4-5 and preparing to face the 2-7 Cleveland Browns, the stakes could not be clearer. A victory would pull Baltimore level in the win column with the Steelers and keep the AFC North race within reach. Whether Ronnie Stanley suits up or not may prove decisive. If he returns to anchor the left side, Baltimore’s offense gains stability, more time in the pocket, and a better chance to control possession.
