Russell Wilson scored a stunning three-pointer and had the crowd demanding a Super Bowl at a recent celebrity basketball game. Held in Pittsburgh, Damar Hamlin hosted a star-studded game to raise money for charity. The Steelers quarterback was invited to try his hand at a shot, with MC Brandon Marshall luring him with a free lunch!

As Wilson narrowly missed his first shot, the former wide receiver decided to raise the stakes. “We need a Super Bowl,” he exclaimed, leading the second try to be a striking success. The crowd erupted in celebration, making Marshall hype up the fans further with demands of a Championship win. Soon enough, there were chants of “We need a Super Bowl!” with fans urging the quarterback to revive his Seattle Seahawks’ glory days.

The video clip of the incident was shared by a Pittsburgh reporter on X, which soon caught the eye of the veteran quarterback himself! The caption to the video read, “Brandon Marshall just called out Russell Wilson to hit a three and got the #Steelers fans in attendance going. “We need a Super Bowl!“” Wilson had a fitting 2-word reply welcoming the WR’s callout: “No Hesitation!

Several athletes with ties to Pittsburgh showed up to support the noble cause. Wilson, too, showed up for his new home and even congratulated the safety on his game-winning 3-pointer.

The basketball game was an effort by Bills’ safety, Hamlin, to support his ‘Chasin M’s Foundation,’ which works for the cause of health, safety, and development of youngsters through sports, training, and programming. After recovering from a cardiac arrest in Jan 2023, the safety hopes to provide the same aid to kids in need. The organization also champions the Access to AED Act, “advocating for CPR Training” and conducts yearly ‘Chasing M’s Toy Drive’.

Prior to the game, the host had a few words of purpose for the attendees. “Pittsburgh, we don’t really have a basketball team, so we don’t get to show our love for it a lot,” Hamlin said, as per PostGazette. “So I thought it’d be a cool idea to bring the city out.” He also surprised everybody with his basketball skills, leading his team to a victory. Wilson shared the clip of the game-winning shot on X with the caption, “[Hamlin] for 3!!! Game winner In the Burgh!!!
