For only the third time in their storied history, the Chicago Bears are poised to etch their name in the annals of the NFL draft. The anticipation builds as Roger Goodell, Eminem, and Jared Goff take the stage to announce the start of the Bears’ clock. In a moment of exhilaration, the Chicago Bears have selected Caleb Williams as their first pick.

This is a monumental occasion for the Bears and Caleb Williams as the QB becomes the third player ever to be drafted as the No. 1 pick in the Chicago Bears’ history. Chicago’s first-ever No. 1 pick was Tom Harmon in 1941 (Michigan Halfback) and Bob Fenimore of Oklahoma in 1947.

The QB walked onto the stage and was as excited as ever. As Williams accepted his jersey from the commissioner, the commentators mentioned how the QB has a lot of “competitive fire in his eyes” and added, “This is what he has been dreaming of.” But before taking the stage in Detroit, the QB hugged his girlfriend, Alina Thyregod.

Joe Pompliano reported how the Chicago Bears brought out a Williams hologram and introduced it to the season ticket holder. The Bears posted the same video and captioned it, “@CALEBcsw checkin’ in at the draft party via hologram 👀.” The footage shows Caleb Williams’ hologram saying, “So happy, so proud!”

As it happens, getting a No. 1 overall pick and getting drafted in the NFL isn’t the only thing Williams is looking forward to.

Williams found a new receiver

It turns out that Caleb Williams is united with Rome Odunze, who used to be a receiver for Michael Penix Jr., and the Huskies, who just fell short of winning the college football championship against Michigan. Williams was excited over the announcement of his new teammate and met with him.

Both players were hyped and were celebrating when Williams met Odunze. Odunze and Williams reportedly caught the same flight to Detroit. Williams also reportedly threw Odunze some passes before the event as well. The Washington receiver had back-to-back 1,000+ yard seasons, which made him one of the top prospects in the draft.

It would be exciting to see how these two pair up.
