Tom Brady didn’t see in advance how his participation in Netflix’s Greatest Roast of All Time would affect him. Most of the roasts were targeted at him especially around his divorce and ex-wife Gisele Bündchen to the point that it became inappropriate for an average audience to hear. Following the roast, he expressed his regret on The Pivot Podcast saying, “I liked it when the jokes were about me… I didn’t like the way they affected my kids.”

Gisele Bündchen was reportedly disappointed at the inappropriate jokes that were made at the expense of her and her new partner Joaquim Valente. Sources confirmed that Brady reached out and apologized to her. Since then, Tom Brady’s former teammate Julian Edelman has also found the platform to talk about his experience at the Roast show.

Julian Edelman describes the roast memory with a tinge of nostalgia

Julian Edelman, who roasted Tom Brady with the nickname “Leonardo DiCaprio’s ex-girlfriend’s ex-husband,” during the roast show, recently appeared in an interview with PEOPLE to reveal his thoughts on the roast. He said, “I thought it was a fun night. Everyone had super thick skin, and we all knew what we were there for, and that was to make fun of each other. It felt very similar to a locker room — we just did in front of people, which you would feel would be a little inappropriate, but it was fun.”

The subject of the roast, Tom Brady, also admitted that he loved the jokes if it wasn’t for the impact that they caused his near and dear ones. The retired football legend admitted, “It’s the hardest part about… like the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world.” Perhaps, it could be some time that we’ll see the NFL GOAT on any roast show after what the show did to him. But the verdict is already out and, in fact, it became the most-watched streaming title on Netflix.
