The Soap Opera has never ended for the two ex-teammates! We are talking about Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown. Now, we are aware that the things between Brown and Roethlisberger were never as real as they looked on Sundays. They put up crazy numbers, sure, but behind the scenes? Totally different story, which is still continued to date.

On Tuesday, Antonio Brown shared his frustration on social media, calling out Ben Roethlisberger once again. He took to X and wrote: “Ben Roethisberger Still MAD (angry emoji) His sister S–k my d–k. 2011 Pro bowl.” With this, he is perhaps referencing the 2011 incident involving the Steelers‘ former QB. He also hinted at a personal grievance with a crude remark about the former quarterback’s sister, Carlee, who played basketball at the University of Oklahoma.

MLFootball also shared the post of Brown, with the same hint: “WOW: #NFL legend Antonio Brown is still feuding with his former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger… alleging a relationship with Ben’s sister at the 2011 Pro Bowl.” So, all in all, it seems the tensions between them haven’t ended. Perhaps this feud has further increased, especially with the ex-WR’s crude remarks on the 2-time Super Bowl champ’s sister.

Roethlisberger and Brown played for nine seasons together. During this tenure, the former WR recorded 804 catches for 10,768 yards, along with scoring 78 touchdowns in 120 games. As we said earlier, the numbers were good between them. However, the personalities didn’t match.

But what major disconnection happened between the two great players? Their former teammate disclosed the truth last year.

Ben Roethlisberger’s ex-teammate revealed what went wrong!

Kam Canaday, who was with the Pittsburgh Steelers, spilled some truth last year. Joining the Keep Hammering Collective podcast, he said Brown was a machine – never took a day off, even in camp. He was outworking everyone, even the guys just trying to make the team. But Ben Roethlisberger? He had his rings, his injuries, and liked to chill during the week. That drove AB nuts. Because he wanted those reps. He needed that connection. And when he didn’t get it? It started to show.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Antonio Brown's feud with Roethlisberger a genuine grievance or just attention-seeking?

In Canaday’s words, “[Antonio Brown] is one of the hardest working m———– I’ve ever been around in my entire life… This is during camp, when guys were trying to work their absolute a– off to make the team, and he’s still blowing everyone out of the water [physically], still outworking them. The guy had a motor, he didn’t slow down, and he was like that for 16 weeks, and I think that’s probably why him and Ben [Roethlisberger] probably got into it a little bit, because Ben had his two Super Bowls, and he got banged up, and Ben would sit out a little bit.” That was a lot of anger. But he didn’t stop there.

“He just liked to take it easy until Sunday. He kind of earned it, but when Antonio Brown was running routes for second and third stringers, and then he’s not getting that connection on Sundays, yeah, he’s going to start freaking out. That’s kind of what he did, which I don’t blame him for, because he’s got that Michael Jordan mindset.” So, Antonio Brown carried that chip on his shoulder like armor. He worked like a man on a mission – first in, last out, always grinding. But Ben Roethlisberger?

Although he loved AB’s on-field mentality, he was the seasoned vet who’d earned his rest, taking full advantage of those off-days. That contrast? It built up tension. And in 2018, it finally blew up. During a simple walkthrough, the two got into it. Brown didn’t just walk away from practice – he vanished for the rest of the week. The Steelers tried to cover it, calling it a knee injury. But everyone knew better. He was benched for that Week 17 game, and suddenly, without one last snap, Brown’s time in Pittsburgh was done. Hence, it was due to two totally different mentalities clashing. But the recent remarks on Roethlisberger’s sister definitely can take an ugly turn this spring!
