The NFL legend Tom Brady’s bid for minority ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders stalled due to a price dispute. He is still pretty close to the Raiders owner, Mark Davis, who is willing to sell Brady between 5- 10% of the team. As a result, Brady might be able to acquire the team at a 70% discount, which Mark Davis is ready to give. But it is not that simple.
Tom Brady also had an expensive deal with Fox Sports, which amounts to $375 million. So, a dilemma exists, and it is that Brady can either be a Fox expert or purchase the Las Vegas Raiders. NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero gave some valuable input on the matter, and it seems that Tom Brady now has a difficult decision to make.

Tom Pelissero’s opinions on Brady’s tough situation
In his latest discussion on The Rich Eisen Show, the host mentioned that Tom Brady has not yet officially signed to get a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders. Tom Pelissero agreed that though Brady hasn’t made a public statement, he has indeed developed a business relationship with the Raiders’ owner, Mark Davis. The legend can buy a portion of the Raiders at a discounted price, but his deal with Fox Sports can be a cause of concern.
Pelissero stated, “In terms of Tom Brady, it’s complicated in terms of his ownership stake because you’re talking about, number one, there are issues that have been made public about what Mark Davis would be selling that portion of the Raiders to Tom Brady for. But also the fact that Tom Brady is under contract with Fox, and it would be an unprecedented situation to have somebody who’s a part owner of one team doing production meetings and calling games on other teams.
“And so, there’s no certainty at this point that Tom Brady’s purchase will ever get through.”
As Pelissero said, Brady’s deal with the Raiders might not come to pass, at least not without some modifications to what his role would be at Fox. Moreover, it’s not just insiders like Pelissero who are talking about this. The powers that be have also raised concerns.

Another concern that stands is that Tom Brady might walk away from the deal in order to spend more time with his family. Being a Fox expert would require extensive travel, and the legend might want to avoid it. So, do you think the deal will go through, after all?
