The 2024 NFL Draft is filled with suspense and anticipation as NFL teams decide their first picks. A bright ray of hope emerged for Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers amid trading rumors. They might be able to land Marvin Harrison Jr. after all.
With the Chargers holding the fifth pick and Harrison Jr. as a favorite fourth pick, how can it be possible? A slight possible alteration from the Arizona Cardinals who hold the fourth pick might change the destiny of the Chargers and the Buckeyes WR.
A recent YouTube episode by Sports Talk Chargers discusses how the Chargers might be able to land Marvin Harrison Jr. It may seem like a long shot because the Chargers are with the fifth pick while the latest NFL mock draft suggests that the Ohio State WR is the favorite to be a No. 4 pick. The teams with the first three picks are in need of QBs and they’re highly likely to pick QB prospects such as Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels.

Meanwhile, there have been rumors that the Cardinals might trade. As per a report by The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, “The Cardinals pick fourth in the draft, and some in the league believe they are open to trading back. Could we see four and go with the top four picks? One general manager told me, ‘Absolutely!’”
If this is the case, Jim Harbaugh may not have second thoughts about drafting Harrison Jr. to pair up with Justin Herbert for a formidable offense.

Marvin Harrison Jr. played at Ohio State for three seasons and started two seasons as the main receiver. In his starting seasons in 2022 and 2023, he completed 2,474 receiving yards and 14 receiving TDs. Entering the 2024 NFL Draft as the first-round No. 4 overall pick, Jim Harbaugh could be one step closer to building a Super Bowl lineup if he manages to get the highly-touted WR.
