Alabama’s men’s basketball team has been making waves by reaching the first Final Four in program history, and fans could not keep their calm. From Mac Jones to Alabama Crimson Tide HC Kalen DeBoer, every legend is rallying for victory on social media. The trademark phrase for the Crimson Tide, “Roll Tide Roll, finds expression in Jones’ tweet.

DeBoer is no far as the football coach joins Jones in congratulating them on their latest win. The men’s basketball program took the lead on a 22-point run and defeated Clemson 89-82 on Saturday.

The victory has helped the men’s basketball team create a historic moment since the last time they came closest to the Final Four was in 2004. DeBoer’s latest tweet after the Alabama Men’s basketball team’s victory seemed to run high in praise for coach Nate Oats. Sharing a post from the program’s official account, the Crimson Tide HC wrote, “Congrats @nate_oats and @AlabamaMBB! Great job gentlemen! ROLL TIDE!”

DeBoer seems to have a special connection with Coach Oats since their journeys to Alabama have been similar. Before arriving in Tuscaloosa, Oats had no southern ties since he belonged to Wisconsin and his previous stop was Buffalo. Similarly, DeBoer moved from Washington and originally hailed from South Dakota. Interestingly, their contact revamping also followed the same timeline.

A few days back in March, the program confirmed that the basketball coach would have a new contract as decided by the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees. Similarly, DeBoer, too, had to undergo a change in contract. Following Oats’ new contract, the Alabama program offered him a $4.5 million pay package, promising to increase it by $200,000 yearly.

On Monday, March 18, DeBoer’s new contract details were made public. Running for eight long years through December 21, 2031, the Crimson Tide’s new head coach, who replaced Nick Saban, has been offered an annual compensation of $10 million. This amount is assured to increase up to $11,750,000 by the time DeBoer reaches the final year of his contract.
