The quarterback told his parents he would get a degree from the University of Alabama. He ensured commitment to the promise as the Crimson Tide squad underwent a massive transformation. DeBoer hired new coaches to revamp the staff. As the former offensive coordinator, Ryann Grubb made his way out of the Crimson Tide to join Settle Seahawks, the coach promoted Nick Sheridan to the roles of quarterback coach and offensive coordinator.

Noting his experience with Sheridan, Milroe commented, “As a quarterback, to have an offensive-minded coach and to be around him, it’s always great.” Interestingly, DeBoer ensured to add a unique touch to the Crimson Tide program.
