It’s game day! The Michigan Wolverines are facing off against the Washington Huskies in the College Football Playoffs National Championship. Both teams are 14-0 and ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. They’re both hoping to win their first national title since the 1990s. Interestingly, they’ll be playing each other again next season in Seattle, when Washington joins the Big Ten.

Today is a significant day for the Wolverines. They have an impressive score of 14-0 and are preparing for the final match on the gridiron. The players are continuously proving themselves to the world amidst the sign-staling scandal and now they’re both excited and nervous. However, the Offensive Coordinator, Sherrone Moore, shows up both as a mentor and emotional support for the young players before the big game.

Only a few minutes remain before the final showdown in Houston, which is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 pm ET. Just before hitting the field, Wolverines’ Michigan RB Donovan Edwards was seen sharing a hug with the acting head coach (offensive coordinator) Sherrone Moore, in a very heartwarming and emotional moment on the sideline.

This moment is significant for Michigan fans and the team as it speaks volumes of emotions for the big day and as a former player himself Moore knows what the pressure of expectations from the team feels like. Moreover, Moore has emphasized the significance of mental well-being ahead of the national championship.

“From a mental health standpoint, we’re in a great place because these are the moments we’ve strived and prepared for,” Moore stated. He highlighted the team’s excitement for the upcoming challenge against Washington, expressing, “Everybody is as happy as can be. Their smile is everywhere, and they’re super excited.”

Regarding Moore’s future aspirations, head coach Jim Harbaugh expressed confidence: “You’ve already got a glimpse of the shining star that he is. He’s just phenomenal, so smart, works so hard at it. Knows what it’s like to be a player. Was a player.” Harbaugh praised Moore’s composure, stating, “Something goes wrong, three, two, one, let it go. He’s tremendous at that.”
