Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the USC Trojans, is an incredible talent who led his team brilliantly in the last season. The Trojans couldn’t make the top 4 CFP spots after an unfortunate defeat at the hands of the Washington Huskies. But the performance exhibited by Williams has granted him the reputation of an elite QB, granting him the title of ‘Patrick Mahomes 2.0.’ But regardless of his athletic prowess, the critics have always been on his case due to the way he chooses to carry himself. And despite the pressure, David Hookstead refuses to eat his words.

Following up on his tweet from yesterday when Hookstead claimed that Caleb Williams isn’t a child who should be shielded from criticism, his latest tweet from today is a lot more brutal at the QB’s expense. Hookstead received a wide share of backlash over his views on Williams using nail paint and owning a pink phone case. While the fans expected an apology from his mouth, he retaliated with a harsher response.

Hookstead said, “We’re just supposed to pretend that painting your fingernails as an adult man is normal? It was never about the fingernails, let’s be honest. It was about whether or not he should be criticized because we have morons in the media who want to shield him from criticism from all points. But read my lips, you woke communist losers! I will never surrender, never back down, never give you idiots one inch. So if you don’t like my opinion, tough, deal with it.” Thus, the criticism of Williams isn’t looking to die down anytime soon as the critics just keep harping on more and more about his lifestyle. However, the saga doesn’t end there. In a sudden response, Williams clapped back to all the haters as well.

Caleb Williams responds to all the recent trolling over his fashion choices

It is a wild situation to witness in the world of pro football where the fans seem a lot more interested in an athlete’s personal decisions rather than the talent he brings to the table. Caleb Williams, who is projected to be the first pick of the Chicago Bears, keeps getting attacked for being a sensitive player. Back during his time in the 2023 season, he garnered a lot of flak for crying after the loss to Washington and later; it was the pink phone case that fans saw during an NBA game.

And in a recent statement, Williams has finally responded by refuting all the claims of his supposed “feminine” look. He said, “Nails are clear, Lips are pink.
