Wentz who was once viewed as a generational talent and the man to lead the Eagles to their first Super Bowl is now deemed surplus to demand by the Eagles franchise.

Wentz has suffered a long list of injuries while playing in the league. A torn ACL in 2017, a back fracture in 2018, and a concussion in the past have all proved to be season enders for the quarterback.
This season though, it was not injuries for Wentz which let him down. Rather it was his overall output itself. The quarterback struggled to get going and recorded 15 interceptions for 16 touchdowns.
The trade deal involving Wentz though will encounter one big hurdle. The quarterback’s new contract is set to come into effect from 2021 and it’s a whopping four-year $128 million contract extension.
