The Green Bay Packers and their lead QB, Aaron Rodgers, are in a slump. After their recent loss against the Titans, the team might look into changing their roster in 2023. Colin Cowherd, the famous sports media personality, predicted a trade that could be the next biggest thing in the NFL.

Given the performance of the reigning NFL MVP, the Green Bay Packers may want to move on from the 38-year-old QB. Colin Cowherd is of the opinion that the Seattle Seahawks should acquire the star QB.

I am going to name a team. They just nailed the draft, and they have a ton of draft picks next year. The Seattle Seahawks literally don’t have to pay their tackles or Kenneth Walker for four more years. The Seahawks don’t have to pay their top corner for four more years. Or their edge rusher. If Seattle has a good draft, they can afford Aaron Rodgers’ cap hit.,” said Cowherd.

The Seahawks recently traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. Will they be interested in trading another veteran QB? To bring Aaron Rodgers to the team, there should be salary cap work; which is possible. However, will the QB want to play the game anymore?

Is it time for Aaron Rodgers to move on from football?

This season, A-Rod does not look like his back-to-back MVP-winning self. The Packers are 3-5. The 38-year-old is only fetching humble numbers. His average passing yards per game and passing yards per attempt are 228.1 and 6.5 respectively, which are his career lowest. In the first seven games, Rodgers could not throw for over 300 yards or more than three touchdowns.

He talked about how everyone on the team should be held accountable for their weak gameplay. The Super Bowl-winning QB also included himself while talking about the importance of being held accountable.

At the beginning of the season, many speculated that No. 12 would end his career, but that did not happen. The shot-caller signed a three-year contract extension which was worth $150 million. Many a time, the QB flirted with the idea of retirement. Hall of Famer QB Kurt Warner suggested Rodgers and Tom Brady should retire from football.

He said, “It’s OK to go, ‘You know what? It’s not how it used to be. I may not be who I used to be, or, it’s just too hard overall to get everybody up to the standard. Maybe it is time to walk away.’”
