Rob Gronkowski has had tremendous two seasons after coming back from retirement last year. His partnership with Tom Brady has proven to be of enormous effect for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The duo is most certainly the best tight end-quarterback pair in the NFL right now. But is that pair on the verge of separation?
Ever since the Bucs lost their Divisional Round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, the players look a bit tedious and exhausted. Especially Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. They are certainly enjoying a good time with their loved ones, but will they be retiring next season? It’s a question yet to be answered.

Although Tom Brady has been teasing his retirement plans here and there, Rob Gronkowski, on the other hand, was an open book in his interview with TMZ Sports. During the video call, he revealed that if he was asked to decide “right now,” he would retire for sure.

Rob Gronkowski on his future plans
“If they’re like, ‘Rob, you’ve got to decide right now, right this second if you’re playing next year,’ I would say no right now. It’s two days after the season,” Gronk said. “I would be like, ‘No, I’m not playing.’ … You’ve got to give it some time. You’ve got to rest. I would say to see how everything goes, how everything plays out.”
Year 11 in the books 📚 What a ride it’s been. Grateful to the Bucs for giving me an opportunity to play another year. To my teammates, thank you for giving everything you had. The sweat we shed & memories made will never be forgotten. Thanks to the #Krewe too 🏴☠️

“If I had an answer right now, it would be no,” Gronk said. “But in three weeks, it might be yes… I just want to heal completely, see where my thoughts are from there. Just let things settle down — got to just heal a little bit. Fix all the bumps and bruises.”
Gronks had a very productive season this year. In his 12 games this season, the tight end made 55 receptions in 89 targets for 802 yards and six touchdowns. His collaboration with the 44-year-old quarterback puts a cherry on top for any franchise. However, when talking about his future plans, Gronks will not depend on Tom Brady’s decision.

Rob Gronkowski, later on in the interview, claimed that Tom Brady’s decision will not impact his future plans. He emphasized Brady has “gotta do it for himself and his family.” But on the other hand, Gronks would do what he would plan for himself.
